Senior Merchandiser

Job summary

Our client, a global sourcing organization, is looking for Senior Merchandiser (Furniture, Hand tools, Power Tools, Home Accessories, Hardware...) to develop and build a strong supplier base withing the region.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow up projects from sourcing, development and secure orders with suppliers, customers and internal parties to meet market demand
• Support engineering design & coordinate with external & internal parties to ensure a cost-saving and high production efficiency design/product.
• Develop/build a strong supplier base to fulfil our Global sourcing strategy & ensure it meets our capability, capacity & cost requirements.
• Drive the sourcing process from supplier identification, evaluation/qualification, negotiation & engagement through all processes.
• Maintain up-to-date market trend information and proactively identify product opportunities.

Experience requirements

• 12+ years of sourcing experience in sourcing/buying office with expertise in Furniture, Hand tools, Power Tools, Home Accessories, Hardware...
• Ability to handle projects independently & deal with sourcing, cost analysis, capacity evaluation.
• Good project management skills & problem solving skills
• Sound background on product development is an advantage
• Fluent spoken and written English and local language.
