Senior Merchandiser

Job summary

Our client, an US trading office, is looking for a Senior Merchandiser experienced in home goods / hardgoods / plastic injection/ metal parts.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients to ensure ongoing collaboration and satisfaction.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers through thorough factory evaluations and assessments.
• Prepare accurate quotations and offers; maintain an up-to-date vendor and product database.
• Conduct detailed cost analyses based on raw material fluctuations and market trends.
• Oversee the end-to-end sourcing process—from product identification, order placement, quality control, and packaging to final inspection and delivery.
• Collaborate with clients to develop new products that meet specific design and functional requirements.
• Manage project timelines in coordination with suppliers, ensuring all deliverables are met on schedule.

Experience requirements

• Minimum 07 years of experience in merchandising or sourcing, preferably within a trading company or buying office environment.
• Solid background in home goods, hardgoods, plastic injection molding, or metal parts.
• Proven experience in project management, manufacturing processes, OEM operations, and product development.
• Fluent in Vietnamese and English; proficiency in Chinese is a strong advantage.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented team player who thrives under pressure.
• Highly responsible and driven, with a willingness to travel within Vietnam (up to 30%) as required.
