Senior Procurement Engineer (Metal, Plastic)

Job summary

A new job opportunity has just arisen in a global consumer electronics manufacturer based around Ho Chi Minh city.

Job Responsibilities

• Strong background in raw material mechanical manufacturing, including sheet metal, stamping, wire harness, PCB, hardware, and plastic molding.
• Strong skills in BOM analyzing from customers' design or concept.
• Handle drawing issues in product localization, collaborate with foreign R&D, and finalize designs.
• Enhance supplier understanding of drawings, support sourcing engineers in resolving FAI inspection issues.
• Develop cost models for should-cost, actual-cost, and raw material breakdowns.
• Optimize supplier production costs, improve BOM costs, and propose enhancements.
• Support Buyers in resolving raw material technical issues.

Experience requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Sourcing roles in mechanical raw material.
• Good communication skills such as organized and structured presentation.
• Good English.
• Positive mindset and can-do attitude.

Education requirements

• Degree or Diploma Holder in Mechanical Engineering, Machinery Manufacturing or relevant Technical field.
