Our client, a well-known US company specializing in home appliances, is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer role

Job Responsibilities

Our client, a leading U.S.-based manufacturer in the home appliances industry, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to oversee supplier quality operations on-site.

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement quality activities at assigned manufacturing locations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, manufacturing partners, and suppliers to establish key quality processes, including PFMEA, Quality Plans, Work Instructions, and inspection requirements.
  • Ensure the effective application of the PPAP process for the approval of new or revised components and products at supplier sites, conducting final inspections as needed.
  • Manage customer complaints, ensuring that BPRs (Best Practice Reports) are issued for significant cases and corrective/preventive actions are taken.
  • Conduct assessments of Tier-1 and key Tier-2 suppliers, verifying compliance with processes and resolution of past quality concerns.

Experience requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering, covering supplier quality, manufacturing quality, and customer quality, particularly in electro-mechanical products or white goods.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems. Proficient in FMEA, QP, PPAP, SPC, MSE, and other quality tools, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Strong computer skills, with a solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to build and lead teams, effectively managing through influence and persuasion.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently with a strong sense of responsibility. Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Willing to dedicate at least 30% of work hours to pre-shipment audits/inspections, with flexibility to increase as needed.

Education requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic, plastics, or automation.
