Job summary
Our client, a global leader in industrial sector, is looking for Site Manager/ Project Manager to lead their expansion project in Vietnam. The Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day onsite management and coordination of an industrial factory construction project.
Job Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Execution
- Manage, supervise, and coordinate all onsite construction activities and subcontractors.
- Ensure construction progress aligns with project timelines, plans, and specifications.
- Monitor daily work to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical issues or delays.
Project Coordination
- Liaise with design, engineering, procurement, and project management teams.
- Coordinate logistics, materials delivery, equipment, and labor usage efficiently.
- Support the preparation of work schedules, progress reports, and site documentation.
HSE & Compliance
- Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards according to regulations and company policy.
- Identify potential hazards and implement mitigation measures.
- Ensure all permits, inspections, and documentation are in place and up to date.
Team & Subcontractor Management
- Supervise site engineers, foremen, and other field staff.
- Evaluate subcontractor performance and manage onsite workforces.
- Ensure workforces follow safety protocols and project plans effectively.
Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the onsite point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Report progress, issues, and deviations to senior project management.
Experience requirements
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in construction site management, preferably in industrial or manufacturing factory projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural, architectural, and MEP coordination in factory setups.
Skills
- Proficient in reading construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction laws, safety regulations, and industrial project standards.
- Familiarity with project management tools (AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
Education requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Supervisor Certificate from MOC (must have)
