Solar Engineer

Job summary

Our client, an international company in developing renewable energy projects, is looking for Solar Engineer to join their team. A Solar Engineer specializing in rooftop installations is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining solar energy systems on residential and commercial rooftops. This role combines technical expertise with project management skills to ensure efficient and safe solar power generation.

Job Responsibilities

Site Assessment: Evaluate rooftops to determine structural suitability, optimal panel placement, and potential energy yield.

System Design: Create detailed plans for photovoltaic (PV) systems, selecting appropriate components and ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.

Installation Oversight: Supervise the installation process, coordinating with contractors and ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety protocols.

Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring systems to track energy production and identify maintenance needs.

Experience requirements

Certifications: Certifications in solar energy systems or project management can enhance credibility.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with design software (e.g., AutoCAD) and knowledge of electrical systems are essential.

Experience: Prior experience in solar installations, particularly rooftop projects, is highly valuable.

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are crucial for collaborating with clients and installation teams.

Education requirements

Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy engineering is typically required.
