Sourcing Agent (Chinese & English)

Adecco's client is an US long-established trading/ sourcing/ retailer company for multiple products categories.

Job Responsibilities

As the Purchasing Sourcing Agent, you will report to the Purchasing Sourcing Director and be responsible for the following:

• Strategic Sourcing: Research, develop strategies, and execute sourcing and contracting for new ventures in Vietnam, selecting and negotiating with suppliers to support business growth.

• Supplier Management: Evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, service, and other factors. Monitor factory performance, proactively identify and resolve issues, and ensure adherence to company procedures and terms.  

• Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, reliable relationships with suppliers.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all goods meet the company's rigorous quality standards.

Monitor shipments and resolve delivery discrepancies. Review open purchase orders and update relevant information (ship dates, pricing).

• Financial Oversight: Review invoices and foreign payment packages for finance, assisting with discrepancy resolution.

• Market Intelligence: Maintain a comprehensive library of factories and vendors and stay informed on the latest products and market trends. 

Experience requirements

• 5+ years or experience in international environment with relevant experience on SCM/ Purchasing/ Sourcing/ Customer & Vendor Relation management, etc.
• Fluent English and upper-intermediate communication in Chinese at working context.
• Based in Hai Phong & Able to travel frequently.

Education requirements

Educational degree: SCM or related major is preferred.
