Sourcing Specialist (Outdoor)

Job summary

Our client, a well-known buying office, is looking for a talented Sourcing Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• Drive the development of new outdoor living and garden furniture collections in collaboration with category teams and external designers.
• Conduct market research to track consumer preferences and emerging trends, identifying opportunities for product innovation and expansion.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners to turn product concepts into commercially viable items.
• Support the selection and introduction of new items, coordinating with regional offices to refine innovations and present product options to global markets.
• Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations on pricing, timelines, and terms. Ensure supplier reliability and mitigate supply chain risks through regular engagement and factory visits.

Experience requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in sourcing, product development, or category management.
• Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia as needed for supplier management and production oversight.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Vietnamese language skills are a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across internal departments and external suppliers.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing environments, product compliance standards (especially European), and development processes.
• Skilled in conceptualizing and bringing new product ideas to life through technical and supplier collaboration.
