Job Responsibilities

Main task is to give leadership, to develop and to ensure that all activities in the area of responsibility (operations, logistic (supply chain), continuous improvement (LEAN, 6S,...) process engineering), are entrusted to meet, within the legal legislations, the requirements in accordance to the global and local strategies, directed to the strategic growth of the company, with hands on proactive approach and mindset for continuous improvement of industrial and financial performance, to achieve highly efficient and economic business.

·      Direct and control the work and resources of the plant, ensure the recruitment and retention of the required numbers and types of well-motivated, trained and developed staff to ensure that it achieves its objectives and to grow the business and financial performance

·      Develop and maintain a strong operations management team focusing on Best Practice, Continuous cost reduction, NWC, most optimized floor utilization, highly effective and flexible workforce

·      Prepare an annual business plan, monitor the progress against these plans with KPI’s, to ensure that the operations achieve its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible

·      Develop and provide with the Plantmanager 3 years rolling strategy to the CEO Korea/Vietnam and COO of SWH ASIA to actively drive the financial performance and continuous quality improvement of the plant

·      Develop and maintain continuous industrialization of new and existing programs to ensure that the Plant remains at the forefront in the industry, by applying the most cost-effective methods and approaches (e.g. Industry 4.0, LEAN, ...)

·      Prepare, gain acceptance, and monitor the roll out of the annual budget to ensure that budget targets are met, that revenue flows are maximized and that fixed costs are minimized

·      Support in the development and maintaining an effective marketing and public relations strategy to promote the image of the Plant in the wider community as the ”employer of choice”

·      Drive the Plant to best in class in relation to just needed inventory, just in time production concepts with goal of overall inventory DOI < 30

·      Develop and maintain Total Quality Management systems with focus to “Quality at the source” on all levels throughout the Plant to ensure that the best possible products and services are provided to customers to achieve extraordinary customer satisfaction and to be partner and preferred supplier

·      Be driver in the on-time preparation of the monthly, quarterly reports as well as the Annual Budget of the plant and support their approval by the Board

Develop and direct the implementation of policies and procedures according to global standards/guidance to ensure that the plant complies with these as well as with all health and safety and other statutory regulations. 

Experience requirements

·      At least 5 years of senior level experience in management of people and resources with strong skills in logistics / operations management, LEAN principles, understanding of financial and wider management principles in the international - preferably medium - Automotive environment

·      Specialized knowledge in Engineering (Industrial / Electrical / Mechanical)
