Job summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and coordination of MEP designs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV systems, etc.) from concept to detailed design phases.
  • Manage in-house and external design teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of MEP packages.
  • Review and approve MEP drawings, BOQs, and specifications, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with architectural and structural teams to resolve design conflicts and achieve integrated solutions.
  • Ensure MEP designs meet local regulatory requirements, international standards, and sustainable design principles.
  • Support project planning by identifying design milestones and tracking deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Attend and lead design coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Provide technical support during tendering and construction phases.
  • Oversee value engineering, cost optimization, and system performance assessments.
  • Manage design documentation and ensure control procedures are followed for revisions and updates.

Experience requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in MEP design within architecture, construction, or engineering consultancy firms.
  • Strong knowledge of international and local MEP codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, etc.).
  • Proven experience managing MEP design for commercial, residential, industrial, or mixed-use developments.
  • Proficient in software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, Dialux, HAP, ETAP, etc.
  • Excellent coordination, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Education requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.
