Job summary

Job Responsibilities

This role will oversee the sales and application of the surgical products within the ophthalmic business:

• Gaining market insights and planning market access strategies
• Executing sales and marketing activities
• Engaging with customers and fostering relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
• Ensuring consistent achievement of operational and financial objectives
• Managing the sales forecast process
• Defining customer segmentation, conducting market mapping, and aligning products to market segments
• Focusing on clinical applications, customer education, and improving workflows
• Developing, delivering, and maintaining training on equipment and accessories with an application focus
• Leveraging product and clinical expertise to resolve customer issues when necessary
• Providing in-depth knowledge on product features, benefits, applications, diagnostics, and treatment procedures through training
• Understanding competitive products and the competitive landscape
• Presenting products and solutions to customers
• Delivering product training to customers
• Contributing to the planning and execution of marketing and promotional activities such as exhibitions, workshops, and seminars
• Reporting on market intelligence, including market size and share of surgical equipment
• Taking full responsibility for preparing bids for major tenders and projects within the territory.

Experience requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in sales and application, preferably within the medical device industry
• Knowledge of the medical ophthalmology industry is a priority
• Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, customer feedback, and other data for informed product development and marketing decisions
• Excellent communication skills
• Team-oriented with a collaborative approach
• Strong sense of accountability and a solid work ethic
• Customer-focused with exceptional presentation skills
• Proficient in spoken and written English

Education requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical, Biological, Medical, Pharma, or related fields
