Position Overview:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle using agile methodologies, from project initiation through implementation, maintenance, and post-implementation review phases. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Stakeholder Management:
a. Engage with stakeholders and clients to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
b. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and facilitate discussions to address concerns.
c. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Project Planning and Execution:
a. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
b. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
c. Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
3. Team Collaboration:
a. Work closely with the development team to translate project requirements into actionable tasks.
b. Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure effective team collaboration and continuous improvement.
c. Inspect, monitor, and troubleshoot project deliverables throughout the deployment process to optimize efficiency.
4. Reporting and Documentation:
a. Report to senior management on project progress, results, risks, and issues.
b. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project charters, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.
c. Ensure comprehensive documentation of project processes and outcomes for future reference.
5. Resource Allocation:
a. Strategically Allocate Resources: Assess project requirements and strategically allocate resources, including personnel, tools, and budget, to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality applications.
b. Optimize Resource Utilization: Continuously monitor resource usage and adjust allocations as necessary to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that team members are engaged in tasks that align with their strengths and expertise.
c. Evaluate Resource Performance: Regularly assess the performance of allocated resources, providing feedback and support to team members to enhance productivity and address any challenges that may arise.
d. Implement Tools for Resource Tracking: Utilize project management tools and software to track resource allocation and availability, enabling data-driven decisions that enhance project execution and delivery.
6. Risk and impediment management:
a. Identify and address potential risks or impediments, utilizing problem-solving and risk management techniques to maintain project flow.
b. Identify and mitigate project risks.
c. Implement strategies to address unforeseen challenges and changes.
7. Quality Assurance:
a. Ensure the Delivery of High-Quality Applications: Oversee the development process to guarantee that applications meet established quality standards and user requirements.
b. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Team: Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that the project complies with all relevant standards and passes all necessary quality assessments.
8. Continuous improvement:
a. Foster a Culture of Continuous Improvement: Cultivate an environment that encourages team members to embrace iterative progress and actively seek opportunities for enhancement. Promote the adoption of agile principles and best practices to drive efficiency and innovation in project execution.
b. Facilitate Regular Retrospectives: Organize and lead regular retrospectives to reflect on project outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and implement actionable insights that enhance team performance and project delivery.
c. Encourage Knowledge Sharing and Learning: Create platforms for team members to share experiences, lessons learned, and best practices, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that supports professional growth and continuous skill development.
Implement Feedback Loops: Establish mechanisms for gathering feedback from stakeholders and team members throughout the project lifecycle, using this information to make informed adjustments and improvements to processes and workflows.
