Job summary

Job Responsibilities

The company is seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Director (Korean) to lead growth in Vietnam’s expanding green energy sector. This leadership role is ideal for a native Korean speaker fluent in English, with a solid track record in renewable energy project execution. Key qualifications include expertise in PPA/ELA and DPPA frameworks, strong partnership-building abilities, and a history of exceeding sales targets. While the role focuses primarily on Korean clients, it may broaden to include multinational blue-chip companies from other key markets as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Business Development

o Develop and execute growth strategies targeting Korean FDI clients aligned with corporate objectives.

o Collaborate with executive leadership on market entry strategies, investment planning, and innovations in rooftop solar and renewable energy solutions.

o Build and manage a strong pipeline by fostering relationships with Korean manufacturers, industrial zones, and key associations.

o Prepare compelling commercial offers and presentations for investment committees; lead negotiations with Korean corporate stakeholders.

o Identify and prioritize new business opportunities through thorough market analysis.

2. Sales & Client Relationship Management

o Oversee key accounts across sectors like automotive, food, electronics, logistics, and manufacturing.

o Manage the full business development lifecycle from prospecting to deal closure.

o Provide localized market insights to tailor solutions and influence client decision-making.

o Ensure high client satisfaction through active involvement in project execution and post-commissioning support.

3. Market Positioning & Brand Development

o Represent the company within the Korean market, enhancing brand visibility through events, associations, and thought leadership.

o Identify and secure participation in key trade shows and public forums.

o Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure culturally relevant branding and event strategies.

4. Operational Leadership & Reporting

o Report regularly to senior leadership on sales forecasts, KPIs, pipeline updates, and risks.

o Establish and refine scalable business development processes.

o Work closely with internal teams (engineering, legal, finance, operations) to ensure seamless project delivery.


Experience requirements

• Native Korean speaker with fluent English.

• 8–10+ years of proven experience in business or project development in the renewable energy sector (experience in Vietnam/Southeast Asia preferred).

• Strong track record of delivering projects to completion and meeting COD milestones.

• In-depth understanding of Vietnam’s energy market, DPPA regulations, and permitting processes.

• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

• High integrity and ability to collaborate across cultures and teams.
