Job summary

As a Production & Material Planning Staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth and cost-effective manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for planning material supply and production schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting new product development. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to align material and production plans with business goals and production demands.

Job Responsibilities

• Create monthly materials demand for GM & Finance’s approval, then release the approved demand to Purchasing to place orders to suppliers.
• Prepare and control weekly material supply plan (materials ETA) to ensure that production plans are met, cost savings, and reduced inventory level.
• Conduct random audits of materials inventory to ensure inventory records in ERP are accurate.
• Coordinate with Purchasing Department to follow up ETA of materials, track POs with required ETA vs Actual ETA, measure OTD, JIT, and average inventory level against KPIs.
• Coordinate with R&D, Purchasing, Production, and Finance to update BOM regularly.
• Follow up with R&D for BOM of samples or new products.
• Release production work orders in ERP after BOM is completed so production can receive materials.
• Provide weekly reports on material supply plans and obsolete/slow-moving materials.
• Calculate leftover exclusive materials when customers cancel related FG items.
• Follow up with related departments to clean up inventory in the system and follow company policies.
• Handle and resolve issues related to materials or supply.
• Work with CS to review customer demand forecast, plan/allocate factory Nhân viên Kế hoạch Sản xuất/ Nguyên vật liệu (Production/ Material Control Planner) capacity by customer/month to meet yearly KPIs.
• Review open production orders and material plans to logically schedule production; update schedules and CRD daily/weekly for CS to inform customers.
• Prepare detailed production schedules for each production area with a completion date.
• Release monthly, weekly, and daily production plans to the production team for execution.
• Supervise actual production progress, coordinate with departments to resolve issues, and ensure adherence to the approved monthly plan, minimizing delays.
• Measure the efficiency of each production area: on-time completion rate, output vs initial plan, and KPIs.
• Coordinate with production to plan capacity and new projects to meet annual business goals.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports as needed.
• Join new project development to plan for sample, PPS, and mass production.

Experience requirements

• Good at MS office, especially Excel, Outlook, email. Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Having experience in the furniture industry is an advantage.
• Good communication skills, teamwork spirit, high sense of responsibility at work.
• Vietnamese. Chinese communication is a plus.

Education requirements

• Graduated from College/University, majoring in Industrial management, business administration or related fields.
• 2 ~ 3years of working experience.
