Job summary
Adecco's client, a global leader in automotive safety systems, is looking for an IT Infrastructure and Support Staff to join their team.
Job Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Serve as second- or third-level technical support, working with first-level support teams (AAS service delivery) to address issues related to company computers, servers, networks, and other IT devices.
- Provide hands-on assistance with IT hardware and software installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting, including servers, storage systems, client and manufacturing computers, and mobile devices.
- Assist end users in resolving technical issues with applications, hardware, and network connectivity.
Infrastructure Management
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and security systems.
- Address network performance issues, system failures, and security risks (e.g., cyber-attacks) by troubleshooting and collaborating with regional and global teams to implement effective solutions.
- Ensure continuous system uptime by conducting regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, virus scans, backup and restore operations, and disaster recovery (DR) testing.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any IT-related issues affecting their operations.
- Work closely with other regional or global IT teams to ensure consistency and efficiency in IT operations.
Compliance and Security
- Conduct periodic reviews of access permissions, server room monitoring, and ensure compliance with company security policies and industry best practices.
- Maintain business security awareness and work on minimizing risks associated with IT systems.
Documentation and Reporting
- Document solutions to technical problems, processes, and infrastructure changes.
- Report regularly to the Country IT Manager on project progress, support activities, and infrastructure status
Experience requirements
Experience:
- Experience in hardware and software troubleshooting and installations.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, servers, networks, and security systems.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (e.g., IP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, cloud computing, and data backup solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Team-oriented attitude with the ability to collaborate with local and global IT teams.
- Ability to adapt to flexible working hours based on department needs.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of professionalism.
Education requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
