Lab Supervisor

Job summary

Our client, a new set up manufacturing company in garment, textile, is looking for Lab Supervisor to join their team.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities and workflow within the laboratory.
• Establish and optimize internal testing protocols for materials and finished goods based on recognized standards (e.g., ISO, AATCC, ASTM, BS, GB).
• Ensure all testing practices align with customer specifications to meet or exceed quality benchmarks.
• Draft, revise, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and departmental instructions.
• Schedule and assign testing tasks according to R&D timelines and production priorities; follow up on progress and results.
• Review and validate testing reports before final release.
• Train and evaluate laboratory personnel on equipment usage and testing methodologies; provide ongoing technical support.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve critical quality concerns.

Experience requirements

• Educational background in laboratory testing or a related technical field; certification from a recognized institution is preferred.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity within a laboratory setting.
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic IT operations.
• Working knowledge of ISO9000 quality standards and 6S workplace management principles.
• Functional English skills, sufficient for handling general business communication.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and coordination abilities.
• Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
