Lead Mechanical Engineer

Job summary

A new job opportunity as a Lead Mechanical Engineer has just arisen in a global consumer electronics manufacturer based around Ho Chi Minh city.

Job Responsibilities

• Independently lead mechanical projects from initial concept through production launch.
• Design and execute testing plans; analyze data and present actionable insights.
• Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure on-time, high-quality product development.
• Apply strong technical understanding in key manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, PCB assembly, etc.).
• Coordinate with customers and cross-functional teams to provide DFM input during the design phase.

Experience requirements

• Min 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical product development or relevant field.
• Strong background in leading cross-functional projects involving multiple technical fields.
• Proven track record in taking products from design through tooling and into production—on time and within budget.
• Advanced skills in design, data analysis, and supplier collaboration.
• Good English communication skills (written and spoken) to engage with international clients and teams.

Education requirements

• Degree or Diploma Holder in Mechanical Engineering, Machinery Manufacturing or relevant Technical field.
