Merchandising, Senior Manager

Job summary

Our client, an European garment manufacturing company, is looking for Merchandising, Senior Manager who is responsible for managing sales & merchandising teams based in the Ho Chi Minh factory.

Job Responsibilities

• • Lead and supervise the sales and technical merchandising team ensuring clear communication and collaboration between both groups.
• • Provide guidance and training to team members to develop skills in product development, cost negotiation, and technical knowledge.
• • Oversee the development and execution of seasonal product lines from initial concept to final production.
• • Work closely with design, sales, and technical production teams for styles and products and to translate concepts into actionable production plans.
• • Manage buyer communications, ensure all product requirements, specifications, and delivery timelines are clearly understood and followed.
• • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure product samples meet design specifications, quality standards, and fit requirements.
• • Coordinate with the production team to ensure smooth transitions from sample development to bulk production.
• Liaise with production planning, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow and quality standards.
• Develop and manage the merchandising budget, ensuring that all costs are tracked and kept within agreed limits.
• Analyze production costs, profitability, and overall financial performance of each project.
• Prepare regular reports on merchandising performance, highlighting key metrics such as sales forecasts, production lead times, and cost savings.
• Maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring all requirements are met and orders are executed smoothly.
• Provide regular updates to clients on order status, delivery timelines, and any potential delays or issues.
• Work closely with the sales team to identify client needs and ensure that merchandising.

Experience requirements

• Fluent English written and verbal communication skills, prefer expats settling down in Vietnam already.
• At least 5 years working experience as Merchandising Manager in garment industry, preferably in a sport brand Senior Managerial role.
• Inspiring leadership style 
• Expert in costing negotiation, product development, technical management, bulk production follow-up
• Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes & quality standards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, ERP, and other relevant software.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
