Job summary
Adecco's client is a top-tier consumer electronics manufacturer based around Ho Chi Minh city, looking for a highly esteemed Production Manager role to join their manufacturing team. He/she is responsible for overseeing the entire production process in an electronics manufacturing environment, ensuring operational efficiency, high product quality, and adherence to safety and compliance standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to implement process improvements to meet production targets and customer requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Production Planning and Execution:
- Develop and oversee production schedules to meet delivery deadlines and optimize efficiency.
- Monitor daily production activities and ensure alignment with overall company goals.
- Coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of materials.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to meet or exceed industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to address defects and implement corrective actions.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor production supervisors and operators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide training to enhance team capabilities.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies in the production process and implement lean manufacturing techniques.
- Drive initiatives for cost reduction, waste minimization, and cycle time improvement.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards in electronics manufacturing.
- Promote a safe working environment by conducting regular audits and training programs.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with engineering, R&D, and customer service teams to address production challenges and deliver solutions.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with senior management regarding production performance and issues.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage production budgets, monitor expenses, and propose cost-effective strategies.
- Optimize resource allocation, including workforce, equipment, and materials.
Experience requirements
- 8+ years of experience in production management within the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in managing high-mix low volume production lines.
- Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, including SMT, PCB assembly, and testing.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and production planning tools.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or related quality management standards.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies and automation in electronics manufacturing.
Education requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
