Job summary

  • This role is responsible for building, nurturing, and strengthening strategic relationships with key decision-makers at Korean-owned footwear manufacturing facilities. It also involves driving the growth and visibility of the Company's portfolio across these operations.
  • The position requires frequent travel to factory sites - primarily in Vietnam and Indonesia - as well as regular engagement with relevant headquarters in Korea.

Job Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders at Korean Tier 1 factories in Vietnam and Indonesia, acting as the primary liaison between Coats and these partners to ensure alignment with customer segmentation strategies and maximize growth opportunities through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Engage with senior executives of both existing and prospective customers to expand the customer contact network, ensuring access to key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Establish and maintain robust partnerships with factory headquarters in Korea to enhance collaboration and deepen their understanding of the Company’s product offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to prioritize and resolve challenges, capitalize on opportunities, and promote product innovations in order to meet sales and service objectives.
  • Provide strategic support to assigned sales executives to ensure consistency in customer engagement and product positioning.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, and emerging customer needs; translate these insights into actionable recommendations and share them proactively through internal systems.
  • Drive improvements in gross margin and unit output standards by optimizing product mix and leveraging technical selling, including implementing price increases where necessary to maintain profitability.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve or surpass defined targets and objectives.
  • Generate regular reports on sales activities, business opportunities, client interactions, and market feedback, ensuring timely and accurate updates through the system.
  • Work in close partnership with Sales Managers, Sales Executives, and the Global Brand Management team to ensure alignment of strategies and consistent progress toward business objectives.

Experience requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development and/or sales, preferably within the footwear manufacturing or development industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of relationship management at the executive level.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sales planning and execution, along with solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Fluency in both Korean and English is essential; proficiency in Vietnamese is a plus.
  • Proven experience in strategic relationship-building and networking within a multicultural business environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across multiple countries.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, persuasive, and confident, with a positive and outgoing demeanor.
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness.

Education requirements

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
