Job summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish and operate HSE management systems as per company, client, and legal requirements.
  • Develop and lead emergency response drills, and report outcomes.
  • Organize HSE training programs for all project personnel.
  • Conduct HSE orientations for company staff and subcontractors before project commencement.
  • Participate in incident investigations and propose corrective actions.
  • Support internal and external audits, customer assessments, and ensure implementation of follow-up actions.
  • Evaluate service providers on HSE criteria and assist them in meeting standards.
  • Implement environmental controls including waste management, pollution reduction, and emission controls.
  • Oversee health checks and occupational health monitoring for project personnel.
  • Plan and manage personal protective equipment (PPE) distribution as required by law and clients.
  • Compile HSE statistics and reporting for the company, authorities, and clients.
  • Coordinate with HSE teams, customers, and relevant parties (subcontractors, regulators).
  • Lead risk management activities—identify, assess, resolve risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Manage changes efficiently to ensure uninterrupted HSE compliance.
  • Support HSE-related documentation for bidding processes.

Experience requirements

Experience and Expertise:

  • At least 10 years of HSE experience in the oil & gas or renewable energy industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years in managerial roles (HSE Manager, Deputy Manager, or Team Lead) on EPC/EPCI projects involving construction, fabrication, and installation—especially for offshore platforms, wind farms, and oil & gas marine works.
  • Preferred experience working with international clients.
  • Proven experience managing contractors, suppliers, and project interfaces.
  • Skilled in planning, risk assessment, process preparation, HSE reporting, and resource/equipment control.
  • Involved in HSE bid package preparation and requirement development.
  • Strong team management and collaboration skills.
  • At least one year of offshore work experience.

Languages:

  • Proficient in English.

Computer Skills:

  • Fluent in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
  • Familiarity with tools like AI and ChatGPT is a plus.

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proactive and responsive to on-the-job challenges.
  • High sense of responsibility and collaborative work attitude.
  • Effective communicator with clients, partners, and colleagues.
  • Capable of working independently under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel frequently both domestically and internationally, and work onshore/offshore based on project needs.

Education requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Specialization:

  • Background in fields like electrical, automation, mechanical, fabrication, piping, marine/transportation, construction/design, or other similar disciplines.
  • Possession of international HSE certifications such as NEBOSH.
  • Certified as a Lead or Internal Auditor for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
