PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Supervises the maintenance activities for all MC through the implementation of a preventative maintenance program and an ongoing maintenance repair for equipment, that support the most efficient manufacturing operation possible. Maintenance Manager must be support company deployment such as plant performance ,TPM implementation, OA, machine break down reduction, cost reduction, and quality issues. Compiles and maintains records on reporting personnel for compensation and performance evaluation purposes.
Report to: Plant Manager
POSITION SCOPE
Work under direction of Plant Manager to keep low machine break down maintenance and high OA target, plan and organize to maintain good machine performance with Cpk over 1.33.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Plans and implements effective procedures and policies for the maintenance department to ensure that all equipment, are in an acceptable state of repair. Administers plant preventative maintenance programs.
· Coordinates with vendors, suppliers, and contractors the installation of new equipment or equipment processing.
· Establishes, with direction from the Plant manager, priorities of all maintenance activities through a work order procedure.
· Budget planning and control following the company target.
· Supervises all daily activities of the Maintenance section through subordinates to ensure completion of assigned projects that will minimize machine downtime.
· Monitors completion of maintenance projects to ensure that safety and quality standards are met.
· Establish / revised critical equipments / spare parts (Preventive and Predictive Maintenance) Implement the spare part KANBAN system.
· Approves all requisitions relating to new and replacement parts, supplies, machine, and equipment for the maintenance.
· Make spare list/ revise by regular basis, ordering system and system control.
· Perform monthly audit for spare parts controlling such as actual stock VS inventory system.
· Routine for spare parts issuing / withdraw approval .
· Provides technical knowledge and expertise to solve problems of a mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic/pneumatic nature.
· Provides instruction, guiding and direction to new employees having performance or procedural difficulties.
· Participates in administrative and technical programs such as cost reduction, process improvements, communication, and employee training.
· Identifies employees for consideration for promotion and/or training. Handles or refers employee grievances, benefit problems, or other personnel problems to the appropriate staff.
· Participates in development of departmental and plant maintenance budgets and monitors performances to ensure costs are within guidelines.
· Supports the company Vision Process through active participation. Responsible for identifying problems and finding solutions for same; works to implement changes.
· Able to supervise approximately nine to fifteen employees.
· Compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations and careful monitoring of activities to ensure the personal safety of employees.
· Complete and accurate training and cross functional training of maintenance technicians.
· Meets objectives concerning machine down time and operating costs of maintenance department.
· Perform monthly report for safety, maintenance issues, corrective action for any maintenances problem and present to another
· Always support quality system, EMS- Environmental Management System and maintain the system .
· Responsible for 5S audit in maintenance workshop.
· 8-10 years manufacturing experience is required.
· Must possess the ability to organize, direct and motivate people.
· Must have knowledge of quality control and production techniques, equipment, tooling, and process
Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Engineering related)
