Job summary

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimization of metal processing technologies, including CNC machining, casting, die casting, liquid forging, and heat treatment, ensuring alignment with global standards.
• Spearhead welding process development with a focus on aluminum alloys, including weldability assessments to ensure compatibility of materials and design.
• Conduct in-depth DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews to support cost efficiency, production quality, and scalable design implementation.
• Continuously assess and improve processing and welding methodologies to maintain a balance between cost, performance, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering, quality, and production teams to integrate metal processes seamlessly into the product development cycle.
• Drive supplier engagement and quality improvement initiatives for key processes including CNC machining, forging, casting, and welding to ensure consistent and high-quality output.

Experience requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, with 10+ years of experience in metal processing and welding, especially with aluminum alloys.
• Deep technical knowledge of both cold (e.g., CNC machining) and hot (e.g., casting, die casting, forging, heat treatment) metalworking methods.
• Demonstrated expertise in welding aluminum alloys and evaluating material/design weldability.
• Solid background in leading NPI projects from concept to mass production, preferably in a global or cross-cultural setting.
• Proficient in English, with excellent communication skills in an international team environment.
